Its now confirmed that the tropical storm Flossie has got sufficient speed to be classified as a hurricane.

Tropical Storm Flossie was formed in the Pacific Ocean, about halfway between Mexico and the U.S. state of Hawaii.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami reported Wednesday that the storm is located far from land and moving west with wind speeds near 65 kilometers per hour.
