Tonight is the night for the light fantastic

Britons are likely to be treated to a spectacular display of heavenly fireworks tonight.
Scientists says that the annual Perseid meteor shower will reach its peak this evening and during the early hours of Monday.
It will be most apparent in the north-eastern part of the sky near the Perseus constellation.

'If we're lucky, on Sunday night and Monday morning we might see as many as 100 meteors an hour,' Dr Robert Massey, of the UK's Royal Astronomical Society, told the BBC.

The spectacle is caused by comet debris no bigger than grains of sand that enters Earth's atmosphere at up to 50km a second and burns up producing streaks of light.
